Welcome

My name is Laura Doherty...

…and as a death doula, grief guide, and Pagan priestess, I bring over two decades of experience guiding individuals and families through life’s most profound transitions. Rooted in the rhythms of nature, I walk alongside you to help shape deeply personal, serene, and sacred end-of-life experiences. From my daily walks through the hills that cradle my home to the wisdom of the earth and trees, I bring the timeless guidance of the land into our work together.

“It's only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth - and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up - that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had.”

~ Elisabeth Kübler-Ross ~

About my approach as a Modern Wysewoman

As a Modern Wysewoman, my work is deeply rooted in nature’s wisdom, ancient practices, and the power of deep listening. I guide individuals and families with a nurturing, non-judgmental presence, allowing grief to be honoured and stories to be cherished. Every life deserves a unique, intentional farewell, and I am here to support you through each step of this sacred journey. My approach is shaped by my own lived experiences — navigating the world as a neurodivergent, bisexual woman and a proud mother and wife — all of which deepen my empathy and compassion for your journey.

Here to listen and support you as you navigate life’s transitions:

What People Are Saying:

When I decided to have a ceremony to honour my name and identity, Laura made the experience deeply affirming and empowering. She was patient, intuitive, and crafted a ritual that truly felt like 'me.' Having my friends and family witness this was both healing and validating in ways I can't even put into words.

During our dad's final weeks, Laura’s compassionate support not only cared for his needs but also brought comfort to our family. Her professionalism and empathy made a profound difference, guiding us through this difficult time with grace and reassurance. We are immensely grateful for her invaluable support.

Laura helped us create a remembrance ceremony that honoured my husband’s life beautifully. Her presence was calming, and she gave us space to weave in our own traditions alongside her thoughtful guidance. It was a day of comfort and connection that our family will never forget.

Just a quick note to say thank you so much for the beautiful service today. It was perfect—exactly what Dad would have wanted and appreciated. You truly are the right person in the right role—so professional, yet kind and compassionate. Thank you again.
