Echoes & Embers

A Winter Retreat

Friday 14th - Monday 17th November 2025, Anglesey

Step into the Stillness of Winter

Do you feel called to gather around the hearth, a warming brew in hand, unwind, and reconnect with the wisdom of the winter season?

Join us for a transformative, sacred retreat where we will gather by the hearth, surrounded by nature, to honour the teachings of the past and prepare for the winter season. In this peaceful haven, there will be no rush – only invitations to reconnect with your roots, the land, and the guidance of your ancestors, as we match our heartbeat with the rhythm of nature.

Nestled in the peaceful village of Talwrn on the Isle of Anglesey, Hen Hafod is a beautifully renovated oak-framed conversion, surrounded by serene countryside. With a rich history dating back to the 13th century, it sits above a site of special scientific interest, providing a tranquil setting for our retreat.

Arrivals from 6pm on Friday, 14th November, with departure by 9am on Monday, 17th November. Sunday evening from 4pm will be dedicated free time, allowing you to settle and integrate your experience. An evening meal will be provided, but if you need to depart earlier, you are welcome to do so.

What to expect at our Echoes & Embers Retreat?

Guided Rituals & Reflection

We’ll open portals of insight with oracle readings, helping you tap into the wisdom of the unseen and offer guidance for the months ahead. Our fire ceremony will allow space for release and transformation, as we burn away what no longer serves us and make way for renewal.

Sacred Walks in Nature

Ground yourself in the timeless rhythms of nature. Our walks across Hen Hafod’s land will allow moments of stillness and connection, helping you listen for the quiet voices of ancestors in the wind, trees, and soil.

Ancestral Wisdom at Bryn Celli Ddu

One of the highlights of our retreat is a pilgrimage to the ancient burial chamber of Bryn Celli Ddu. Here, we will honour those who walked before us and listen for messages that offer guidance on our personal journeys.

Why join us?

A Sacred Space for Reflection and Renewal

This retreat is designed to help you slow down, reflect, and renew as you embrace the quietude of winter. Surrounded by nature and community, we will immerse ourselves in rituals that honor the season of stillness. Through guided oracle readings, we will open portals to the unseen, seeking wisdom and guidance for the months ahead. The fire ceremony will offer a transformative space for release, allowing you to let go of what no longer serves you, making way for new growth and renewal.

Soulful Rituals and Deep Connection

As we sip on sacred teas, we will cultivate a nurturing space for sharing, storytelling, and sacred communion. These intimate moments will deepen our connection to the land and to each other, creating a community of support and understanding. The walks on the land will ground us in the rhythms of nature, encouraging stillness and allowing us to listen for the whispers of our ancestors in the wind, trees, and soil.

Ancestral Journey to Bryn Celli Ddu

One of the highlights of the retreat is our journey to the ancient burial chamber at Bryn Celli Ddu, a powerful site where the veils between worlds are thin. Here, we will honor those who have come before us, seeking insights and messages to guide our personal journey. What ancestral echoes will you hear? What ember will you find to carry you through the winter months, lighting the way through the darkness?

A Time for Deep Inner Work and Healing

This retreat offers a sacred opportunity for deep inner work and preparation for the seasons ahead. It is a time to realign with your roots, reset your intentions, and embrace the quiet strength that the winter months bring. May the warmth of the hearth and the wisdom of the ancestors leave you with the strength, guidance, and light to carry through the long winter days.

Meet your Guides: Awen & Laura

Awen and Laura met many moons ago over a shared love of the wondrous and magical world in which we live. Kindred spirits from the start, they were drawn together by their reverence for nature, their passion for the sacred cycles of life, and their deep belief in the power of gathering in intentional, heart-led ways.

Both bring many years of experience in holding nourishing, transformative spaces – spaces where people are invited to slow down, reconnect with themselves and the Earth, and listen to the quiet wisdom that often goes unheard in everyday life.

Rooted in ritual, myth, and the turning of the seasons, their work is guided by intuition, compassion, and a fierce commitment to creating spaces where everyone feels welcome, seen, and supported.

Together, Awen and Laura weave a gentle, grounded container for rest, remembrance, and renewal.
